Preparing for your Exam

Please take time to read and consider the exam information carefully.

Step 1: Choosing a Proctor

Before taking this exam you will need to either choose a Live Proctor or arrange to use ICPM's online proctoring partner ProctorU. You can learn more about proctoring by clicking the link below.

Step 2: Scheduling your Certification Exam

Once you have chosen a proctoring method, complete the schedule your exam form to tell ICPM which test you'd like to take, when you'd like to test, and who your proctor will be. When you are ready to schedule your exam, please click the link below.

Step 3: Accessing your Certification Exam

Exams are protected by exam access codes or passwords, which will be provided to your proctor prior to your exam date. On the day of your exam, click the Enter Exam Password button at the top of the page. Your proctor will provide the password.

The exam clock will NOT start until you enter the password and press the Start the Exam button. You will have a maximum of 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete the exam.

By proceeding with the exam you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

  • This exam is to be taken by you without help from any other person.

  • The use of reference materials while testing, including but not limited to notes, books and the internet, is prohibited.

  • The use of smart phones and similar electronic devices while testing is prohibited.

  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions will be punished by permanent expulsion from the CM Program.

Browser Recommendations

Please use a modern, up-to-date browser when taking an exam. Legacy browsers such as Internet Explorer 9 are no longer supported and may cause issues during the exam. ICPM recommends Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer (11 or above). 

Computer and Internet Connection Problems

Should your exam end prematurely due to internet or computer connectivity problems, log back into the exam as soon as possible and click the "Continue the test" button at the top of the exam page. The exam will continue where you stopped.

It is important that you login into your exam as quickly as possible because the exam clock will continue to run while you are logged off.
