Workshop Please don’t mess it up
An interactive workshop about doing user research and understanding your target audience to achieve a good end result
We are all problem solvers. Whether it is about politics, business or the health industry. However, if you want to come to the root of the problem and solve it, you need to be in close contact with those affected. And that is exactly where it goes wrong most of the time. We don’t listen enough, make assumptions based on biases, forget the context, and focus too much on the end result. Sometimes with devastating consequences. Coca cola once launched New Coke to replace the classic Coca-Cola taste. After a severe protest, this was reverted. After all everyone was satisfied with the taste of the classic Coca Cola.
How can you avoid these blunders? How can you close the gap between the product and the end-user? Or, to put it differently: how can you make sure you are fixing the right problem? User Experience Researcher Dyann will discuss the pitfalls of doing user research in this interactive workshop. She will also touch on the importance of context and practice interview techniques. After all, people often say A while, meaning X. You will actively seek a solution to the needs of their target audience in a role-playing game in the second part of the workshop. Spoiler alert: it has something to do with soup.
